<p>Slit-type nozzle, for the manufacture of laminated plates of the known type, has a longitudinal sit with extrusion flanges or lips in an externally heated tube connected to an extruder so that the extruded material leaves the slit perpendicularly to teh length axis of the tube. The tube has a chamber, along the whole length of the slit, passing transversely through the tube in the direction of extrusion, and extending to and fixed in pressure tight manner to the tube at teh rear end of the pasage therethrough, while its front end projects at least between the extrusion nozzle flanges or lips. The modified slit nozzle enables multilayer laminates of the same but differently coloured plastics or of different plastics to be produced with a core of any suitable material, using a single extruder.</p> |
