Method for making laminated connections in pipes or tubes of fibre-reinforced reaction resin uses two half-shells of the external diameter of the pipe, furnished on the inside with a fibrous mat, already pretreated with hardener; the outer side of the shells is furnished with fibrous woven material or cords, impregnated with hardener; outside this again a self-adhesive strip is attached. Just before making the joint, the fibrous mat and fibrous cord are coated with an accelerated reaction resin and then the half-shells are fitted around the joint and are tightened up using the self-adhesive strip. Typically, the self-adhesive foil may be impermeable to water, thus protecting the reaction at the joint. |
