A conductive mandrel supported by rods 9 and extending into orifice 8 is used to form pipes, otherwise a mandrel terminating before the orifice or no mandrel is used. When a mandrel is used the electrodes are star connected to a three phase A.C. supply and the mandrel is connected to the star point, otherwise the electrodes are delta connected. |
