Multicore cable continuously produced - from single extruder with successive identification changes

A method of making multicore esp. plastics-insulated conductors, identifies (e.g. by colour) the wire immediately after it leaves the extruder; it is fed to a winding machine and after a predetermined length has been measured, the identification is changed, and the coil of the first identification is removed to a storage circuit; after the required number of separately identified cores have arrived in the store, they are fed to the laying-up machine and then to further units for final sheathing etc. and coiling up.
