PURPOSE:To provide a door lock structure for an air bag door which has functions as an air bag door as well as a simple structure. CONSTITUTION:An engagement rib 36 is formed on an air bag door 24 and a breakaway 40 is disposed on an air bag case 14. The breakaway 40 is fixed by a thread 42 after being wound on the engagement rib 36 so that it ordinarily keeps the air bag door closed and breaks away only when an automobile rapidly slows down. This constitution allows the air bag door 24 to have functions as an air bag door as well as a simple structure, resulting in reduced costs. Alternatively, internal space 18 in the air bag door 24 and air bag case 14 can be shared by a glove box 50. |
