PURPOSE:To increase the environmental reliability of an ultrasonic wave motor and reduce the variation of its characteristic, by forming a propagative medium with the same material as the vibrator having a piezoelectric effect, and by integrating the vibrator and the propagative medium in a body. CONSTITUTION:A vibrator section 1 and a propagative medium section 2 are formed with a PZT, and in the central part thereof, bored is a hole 4 for inserting the rotational shaft of a rotor 3, which is rotated according to the movement propagated from the propagative medium. The propagative medium section 2 is created by injection-molding or press-molding the material obtained through mixing the power of the PZT with a suitable resin. Thereafter, blowing off the resin, the material is sintered, and then, the formations of electrodes and polarization processings are performed. A common electrode 6 is provided extensively on the surface of the vibrator section 1, which is on the side of the propagative medium. As excitation electrodes, electrodes of two phases are provided. Thereby, the characteristic and the reliability of the product of an ultrasonic wave motor can be improved. |
