<p>A plastic-coated flexible textile fibre structure, esp. for use as synthetic leather e.g. for shoe uppers, upholstery etc., is as follows: a woven-knitted fabric of artificial fibres, with a rough or rougher nap on one side is coated on this side with adhesive and, on the opposite side, with plastics which produce a flexible layer. Specifically, the adhesive may be applied either before or after the plastic facing on the opposite side; preferred plastic facing materials include PVC with various fillers and polyurethane. Preferred adhesives include PVC, PVA, vinyl chloride copolymers.</p> |
