<p>The clamping device comprises a vertical frame with guides for at least one pair of horizontal transverse V-cross section clamping cross beams, which are vertically displacable. One of the clamping beams is linked to a vertical displacement drive to effect clamping. In the prefd. design the frame is horizontally displacable in the direction of the workpiece axis. The device permits firm clamping of the extrusion prior to cutting off the head.</p> |
