<p>The lorry has a cantilever crane whose jib is designed to pass into a prefabricated cell and lift it sufficiently high to clear the vehicle loading platform and swivel round to place the cell on the platform. The crane tower is telescopic and houses an hydraulic lifting ram. The crane jib is formed as a bearer, whose free end has a series of openings each able to receive a cross bolt. The cross bolts carry ropes or chains to fit on anchor points provided in the cell floor. The jib cross bolts can be displaced axially by a hydraulic cylinder to enable the cell to be positioned in respect to the vehicle longitudinal axis.</p> |
