<p>The continuously variable power transmission utilizes a differential unit having a ring gear, a sun gear, and a carrier connected to the output of the transmission. A power input shaft and a variable speed hydrostatic transmission are driven by the power input shaft and rotatively fixed to one of the gears. There are devices for controlling the drive relation between the differential unit gears to provide a low-speed range hydrostatic drive. Selectors selectively connect the power input shaft to the other of the differential unit gears for an intermediate speed range hydromechanical drive.</p> |
