The unit which converts a fluid pressure into an electrical signal, is used to indicate high pressure in vehicles. It has a housing with an electrical transmitter, eg. an adjustable resistance, and/or a switch with its moving member actively connected to a membrane via a resilient intermediate member. The intermediate member (11) consists of two flanks (12, 13) connected in the form of a V. One flank (13) supports itself on the membrane (3), while the second flank is fixed. The closed end of the V is actively connected to a movable member (17), and one of the two flanks carries a strain gauge.
