Anaerobic treatment of natural organic waste - in digester fed by variable speed controlled bucket elevator

A plant for the anaerobic treatment of natural waste is based on a digester which receives its feed from a supply tank. The transfer is effected by a bucket elevator with a variable speed which charges the digester through a chute. The continuous feed at an adjustable rate eliminates the sudden rush loads on a digester which may result in an excess of volatile fatty acids and may poison the methane producing bacteria.
