The loader assembly is intended for transferring bulk material to an open or closed vehicle without spreading dust. It comprises a closure cone (1) with an actuator (2) which is capable of opening the cone when used above an open vehicle. The actuator is suspended from a cable (5) via a cross-bar (3) and bracket (4). This bracket may have slots (6) for the cross-bar, which permit the cone to open under its own weight without using the actuator when the assembly is lowered on to the inlet connection of a closed vehicle.
