Headlight adjustment system dependent on vehicle loading - uses nonlinear transmission element between axle and hydraulic adjustment circuit

The system uses a level monitor (50) cooperating with one of the vehicle axles (2) and having a non-linear transmission element provided by a curved cam block (52). The cam block (52) is acted on by one end of a spring-mounted, double-armed lever (56) the other end of which lies in contact with the suspension lever (4) between the vehicle axis (2) and the chassis. The cam block (52) in turn acts on a piston (12) of the hydraulic level monitor (50) coupled to a hydraulic adjustment circuit for the inclination of the headlights. Pref. the first end of the two-armed lever (56) has a semi-circular rounded nose, which lies in permanent contact with the cam block (52).
