PURPOSE:To obtain a knot yarn having improved periodicity of slubs and productivity, by subjecting a fibrous bundle for effecting to the fluid interwining treatment randomly, doubling the resultant yarn having a with drawing resistance changing randomly in the long direction with a core yarn, and twisting the doubled yarns. CONSTITUTION:In preparing a knot yarn consisting of a core effect in a fine spinning frame, a fibrous bundle 2 for effecting before the feeding to feed rollers 1 and 1' is passed through a fluid jet intertwining treatment nozzle 4, and interwined randomly in the long direction to give a yarn having a with drawing resistance changing in the long direction randomly. The resultant yarn is then fed with a core fibrous bundle 3 to the feed rollers 1 and 1' and drafted by the feed rollers 1 and 1' and front rollers 10 and 10', then doubled and twisted by the twisting action of a ring 11 and a traveler 12 to form a knot yarn 13. A nozzle 5 may be provided in the drafting zone if a filamentary yarn or spun yarn 17 is directly fed to the nip point of the front rollers 10 and 10' instead of the core fibrous bundle 3. |
