<p>PURPOSE:To make a high-speed processing possible with a simple circuit constitution, by using effectively the characteristics of a sample value, which appears in an input signal to sample it and by processing data sampled from picture and sound signals or the like in parallel. CONSTITUTION:An input signal D1 to be encoded is applied to a shift register 11, and the signal D1 is divided into n-bit blocks by a clock signal C1 and is inputted to a latch circuit 12 in parallel. A specific bit pattern signal Z is detected by a NAND gate 13 to which the output of the circuit 12 is inputted, and the signal Z is applied to a control part 17. The output of the circuit 12 is applied to a counter 14 and a data selector 16, and a continuous number of the signal Z is counted by the counter 14, and the block continuous length of the signal Z is divided into the integral number of n-bit blocks where each block consists of a constant number (n) of bits. The output of the counter 14 is applied to the selector 16, and the n-bit output from the circuit 12 is selected and encoded by the select signal from the control part 17, thus making a high-speed processing possible.</p> |
