PURPOSE:To lower the probability of the overrun of a channel, by using a specific information signal to prevent the main storage device request signal from being suspended for a long time when plural CPUs share a main storage device. CONSTITUTION:In case that the first and the second CPUs 10 and 11 refer to and use a common main storage device MS15 in time division, CPUs 10 and 11 are provided with main storage device control parts 13 and 14 respectively, and the CPU10 is provided with a channel CH12. An MS reference request and an address are sent from CPUs 10 and 11 to the MS15 through busses 16 and 18 respectively, and data is transmitted from the control part 13 of the CPU10 to the control part 14 of the CPU11 through a bus 20. A specific signal SELO is generated in the CPU10 and is used in the CPU10 and is supplied to the control part 14 of the CPU11 through a bus 21. This signal SELO is used to determine an acceptance cycle of the MS reference request, and 1 and 0 are assigned to CPUs 10 and 11 respectively. |
