PURPOSE:To effectively start the oscillating operation of an inverter by providing a condenser which is charged directly by a power source and a switch unit which discharges the charge in a circuit which supplies a current to the base of a transistor. CONSTITUTION:A DC power source E voltage is applied to a push-pull transistor inverter A, and a dischare lamp 12 is fired by the high frequency output of the inverter. A base power source circuit B which has a feedback coil 8 provided at a transformer 8K, a capacitor 10 charged through a resistor 13 from a power source, a transistor 14 and a SBS15 is provided to supply a base current to the transistors 4a, 4b. Accordingly, the capacitor 10 is directly charged by energizing the power source, and the charge is supplied to the base through the conduction of the transistor 14. Accordingly, the operation start can be effectively performed, and the increase of the base loss can be avoided by increasing the resistor 13 when the power source voltage is high. |
