PURPOSE:To remove sticking dust effectively by a simple constitution wherein the speed of rotation of a blower is made switchable to the high and low and the opening of a group of smoke tubes is made also switchable to the overall exhaustion and partial exhaustion in an apparatus wherein water or the like is heated by the heat retained by waste gas through a group of smoke tubes. CONSTITUTION:A switching mechanism 8 is set ordinarily in the second state wherein it is opened at overall exhaustion to make a high-temperature gas circulate forcedly, while a blower 3 is rotated at low speed. When dust sticks to smoke tubes 6 so as to impede an operation of heat exchange and thus to turn the temperature 9 of a heating medium liquid to a set temperature, a control device 10 operates to rotate and slide the baffle plate 11 of the switching mechanism 8 so as for the mechanism to be switched to the first state of partial exhaustion opening, and to switch the blower 3 to high-speed rotation. Thereby the smoke tubes 6 in a group are opened partially in sequence, and the dust is blown off and removed by air flowing at high speed. Thus, the constitution and the maintenance of the apparatus are made simple and the removal of the dust can be performed effectively. |
