PURPOSE:To maintain a balance between a cooling effect and a defrosting effect by configurating a device in such a way that, when the degree of the cooling effect of an evaporator is found to be less than a reference value, the quantity of refrigerant is adjusted, but when the degree of the cooling effect is found to be more than the reference value, an engine for an air conditioner is suspended. CONSTITUTION:The degree of a cooling effect of an evaporator 16 is detected as the value of temperature by a temperature sensor 22, and is inputted into comparators 36 and 40 of a control circuit 34. A reference value of the comparator is set to be at the temperature equivalent a comparatively high cooling temperature. Then the detected temperature 32 is compared with the reference value of the comparator 36, and the quantity of refrigerant to the evaporator 16 is adjusted while the valve of a by-pass device 30 is controlled. In addition, if the detected temperature 32 is lower than the reference value of the comparator 40, a suspension signal is outputted to a wire 41. And while a judging circuit 42 is outputting a cooling signal 43, an engine suspension signal is outputted to a drive circuit 52 through a holding circuit 50 so as to hold the condition of suspension. This configuration improves the defrosting effect. |
