PURPOSE:To obtain accurate image information by finishing the integration at the 1st storage part when the output of a monitor store part is set at a prescribed level to transfer the integration to the 2nd storage part for storage and then outputting it to a shift register at the next stage. CONSTITUTION:The 2nd charge storage part GAn and gate parts EGn and CGn are provided between a charge storage part FAn and a CCD register CAn. Thus the end of integration is confirmed when the electric charge produced by a photoelectric converter stored in the 1st charge storage part is transferred to the part GAn only with an operation of the gate at the part EGn regardless of the cycle of a transfer clock. In this example, the part CGn, i.e., a clear gate opposite to the part GAn is provided but is not always needed. Here the gate CGn does not need the data after the electric charge is once transferred to the part GAn from the part FAn. This data is needed only the start of reintegration is desired. This need is decided by the sequence of an AF action.
