PURPOSE:To form a material exhibiting a sufficient piezoelectric modulus, by copolymerizing trifluoro ethylene-vinylidenefluoro ride and hexafluoro aseton, and introducing an-O-structure into a molecular chain. CONSTITUTION:Copolymerization of hexafluoror aseton in a very effective means to increase the flexibility of a molecular chain. As a result, the copolymerization of haxafluoro aseton increases the piezoelectric modulus of its base polymer, and makes a polarization treatment possible under an electric field of relatively small intensity. But it must be noted that an excessive copolymerization of hexafluoro aseton damages the crystal structure of its base polymer, and decrease the degree of polarization of a polar crystal itself, so that the rate of a copolymer is inevitably limited. Therefore the following is a preferable range of the copolymer; trifluoro ethylene 20-65mol%, vinylidenefluoro ride 79-34mol% and hexafluoro aseton 1-10mol%.
