PURPOSE:To improve the utilizing efficiency of a line by increasing/decreasing the time required to connect each slave earth station and a central earth station depending on the communication data quantity in the polling system. CONSTITUTION:A line monitor 13 of a slave earth station E1 uses a station designation data A in an outgoing signal wave 50 so as to detect the call of its own station and commands the transmission or reception to a terminal computer based on the content of a control data. When the transmission is commanded and a sent telex data exists and the slave earth station E1 receives a transmission end data of the outgoing signal wave S0, an incoming signal wave S1 is sent. When no sent telex data exists, no incoming signal wave S1 is sent. Thus, when the central earth station E0 does not receive the incoming signal wave S1 by one second after the outgoing signal wave S0 calling the slave earth station E1 is finished, a slave earth station E2 is called. Similarly, the central station E0 calls sequentially slave earth stations E3-E100. |
