The invention relates to a drive clutch (coupling) for a fixing device in an electrophotographic copier, which has two heated fixing rollers (8) which are pretensioned in opposite directions to one another so that they thermally fix a toner image on a carrier which passes through between the rollers (8). The rollers (8) are driven by drive shafts which have drive wedges which engage with corresponding wedge belts (tracks) (13) in the rollers (8). An abrasion-proof material (16) is arranged in the wedge belts (13) to buffer the rollers (8) with respect to the drive wedges and thereby to protect the wedge belts (13). <IMAGE>
