Supporting structure for lifting vehicles under the wheels

In the order-receiving departments of motor-vehicle firms, diagnostic hoists are in use according to the latest state of the art. These diagnostic hoists are equipped either with tracks or with supporting structures reaching under the vehicle body. The hoists provided with tracks take up a large mounting area, are difficult to drive on and conceal a large part of the vehicle base. If the diagnostic hoists are constructed so as to reach under the vehicle body, the setting-up time required in particular is too long at an uncomfortable posture. The invention comprises a supporting structure which is connected to one or two lifting columns, which can be sunk in the floor, of a singe-column or two-column hoist. Instead of tracks, the supporting structure has very flat, flexible supporting frames (3) reaching under the wheels, can be set to the vehicle wheel base by foot operation and only conceals the vehicle base to a slight extent. A substantial advantage can also be seen in the fact that the supporting structure is only a slight obstacle to a vehicle to be pushed. <IMAGE>
