PURPOSE:To provide an image formation device capable of reading a test pattern formed using a recording head with recording elements and performing a head shading action for correction of recording element driving conditions of the recording head based on the reading. CONSTITUTION:When performing a head shading action, that is, forming a test pattern or reading it, voltage supply is switched from a high voltage device 61 (output voltage V1) connected when a routine image is formed to a high voltage device 62 (output voltage V2>V1) so that the amount of an electric charge on a transport belt 31 is increased. Subsequently, a recording medium is attracted to the belt 31 positively. |
