It is proposed to convert residues from industrial production and in particular residues from incineration plants, and among these especially dusts, into a consolidating mixture, preferably in the form of mouldings, by adding alkali metal silicate, alkali metal aluminate and water. Storage on landfills and use as building materials are possible.
