PURPOSE:To improve resistance to slag by containing a specific sintered MgO-Al2O3 raw material, graphite and a magnesia raw material. CONSTITUTION:50-95wt.% MgO is mixed with 50-5wt.% Al2O3 to obtain a sintered MgO-Al2O3 raw material in which at least a part has a structure of covering around a periclase 2 with spinel 1 having >=90% purity of total amount of MgO and Al2O3. Next, 10-60wt.% the sintered MgO-Al2O3 raw material is mixed with 3-60wt.% graphite having <=1mm granular diameter, magnesia raw material and a binder and molded, then dried at 100-600 deg.C, thus burnt at 600-1500 deg.C, as necessary. |
