PURPOSE:To feedback control an extrusion machine exactly in accordance with actual extrusion amount by controlling the revolution number of a screw so that the extrusion amount per unit time calculated from the contour-dimension and the extrusion speed of a work immediately after the extrusion of the work from a die becomes equal to the set extrusion amount. CONSTITUTION:The contour dimension-detecting means 8 which detects the contour dimension of the work 7 immediately after the extrusion of the work from a die 6 and the extrusion speed-detecting means 9 which is positioned adjacently thereto and detects the extrusion speed immediately after the extrusion of the work are arranged outside the head 5 of the die 6 and near the die. The computing means composed of micro computer calculates the extrusion amount per unit time form the contour dimension and the extrusion speed having been detected. The set extrusion amount of each extrusion shape is stored in a memory means. A screw-controlling means controls the revolution number of the screw so that calculated extrusion amount becomes equal to the set extrusion amount. The deviation of the extrusion amount accompanied by the change of extrusion speed may be recognized by indicating the calculated extrusion amount, the contour dimension and the extrusion speed, whereby the characteristics of the extrusion machine may be estimated exactly. |
