PURPOSE:To press and support the lumbar of a person under appropriate pressure so as to allow the person to recover from fatigue by fixing the locking member of a lumbar supporting member in advance to a frame main body, and causing a seat pad and a seat frame to integrally foamed, and then mounting a supporting member to the seat frame by means of the locking member from a recessed portion formed in the reverse face of the seat pad. CONSTITUTION:A recessed portion 12 is formed in that portion of the reverse face 10a of a seat pad 10 which corresponds to the lumbar of a person seated on a seat and after the seat pad is made to integrally foamed the lumbar supporting member 16a of a supporting member 16 for a seat frame 14 is installed. Locking members capable of locking the lumbar supporting member 16a, e.g. retainers 22 are fixed to the right and left sides of a frame main body 18 at the portion corresponding to the lumbar of the person on the seat. The recessed portion 12 is formed as a space adjacent the retainers 22 of the frame main body and the lumbar supporting member 16a is mounted to each of the retainer 22 from the recessed portion. A spring member, e.g. an S-spring is used as the lumbar supporting member 16a. Then the seat pad 10 is covered with e.g. a trim cover 30 made by an outer cover and the like. |
