Coupling system facilitating use of dental handpiece - connects to drive motor or supply line for illumination unit for working area and lamp(s)

The coupling system is also designed for handpieces or motors with light conductors. The supply lines and the motors are provided with a lamp holder for a bulb to conduct beamed light in the light conductors. The coupling system (5) is designed as a replacement for the lamp, and is electrically, mechanically and geometrically compatible with the lamp holder with which it makes contact. The coupling system is designed as a modular component, and can be mounted to take the place of the lamp which it replaces. The handpiece (10) has a combined design, in order to ensure a contact if it is coupled with the motor (1) or the supply lead. The module is designed as an insulating piece provided at its rear side with contacts (6, 7) and at its front side with contacts (8, 9) respectively matching contacts (3, 4) of the motor (1) and the contacts (11, 12) of the handpiece (10). USE/ADVANTAGE - Coupling system developed so it can be connected with handpiece which has 1 or more lamps at front, with motor or supply lead for handpiece with light conductor.
