PURPOSE:To prepare a gel compsn. having the electric conductivity, flocculation properties, transparency, and antifungal properties suitable for a self-adhesive for a living body and stickable pharmaceutical preparations, an electrode for a living body, a moisture-retaining material, and a cold-reserving material. CONSTITUTION:A gel compsn. which comprises a polymer prepd. from a sulfonic acid monomer and an aq. soln. of a polyvalent metal salt, the soln. being contained in the polymer. The polymer may be a copolymer of the monomer with another copolymerizable monomer. The soln. may contain a water-sol. polyhydric alcohol; in such a case, the compsn. pref. contains 10-99wt.% the soln. |
