PURPOSE:To display fault diagnosis result an a display element an a microcomputer's output part by instructing fault diagnosis about electronic musical instrument's RAM with an input switch on a microcomputer's input port. CONSTITUTION:When a power source is turned on, a microcomputer 8 fetches the program of a ROM part 1 and initializes the microcomputer and then decides input switch 91's on/off state of the microcomputer 8. If the switch is on, it initializes a memory address and then writes/reads data so as to perform fault diagnosis of a RAM part 2. If OK, it increments address and continues to decide reading/writing data until an area completes. The result is displayed on a display element provided on a microcomputer 8's output port as a means for visual feedback of the fault. Until the fault diagnosis completes, a sub-routine is not called and a RAM part 2's stack area is not used so as to prevent runaway. |
