PURPOSE:To provide a reinforcing three-dimensional woven fabric suitable for heterogeneously functional composite materials by partially arbitrarily changing the arrangement angles of fibers in a process for producing the three- dimensional woven fabric by a rotor.carrier method. CONSTITUTION:In a process for producing a three-dimensional woven fabric by a rotor.carrier method, many rotors nipping many carriers arranged in many columns and many rows are divided into two groups, each group comprising the rotors mutually not neighbored. Partial stationary weaving cycles are performed only required times during stationary weaving cycles wherein processes in which one of the two groups is used as a guide in a non-rotation state and in which the other is rotated 90 degree or 180 degree are repeated alternately in the reverse directions, thereby providing a three-dimensional woven fabric in which woven fiber parts having an orientation direction different from the longitudinal direction of the threedimensional woven fabric are formed in the cross section of the woven fabric to provide a heterogeneous function for the woven fabric. |
