Wheel alignment system for measuring alignment angles of wheels

The wheel alignment system has a system function control unit for providing system operating instructions and for receiving alignment angle data. An angle sensor is mounted on at least two of the vehicle support wheels for providing angle measurement signals indicative of the angle between the planes of the support wheels and a reference direction. The angle sensor also has fast response signal amplitude sampler for providing instantaneous toe angle measurement signal detection. Data update frequency is increased and angle sensing accuracy is improved.A sensor system interface control unit receives and reprocesses the angle measurement signals and external system control inputs and provides bi-directional data flow between the angle sensor and the system function control unit. A graphics array control and display unit receives and displays measureed alignment angle data.
