The pump has a driven rod (25) which causes the membrane (13) to oscillate as the result of a to and fro movement. The stroke of the rod is limited by an upper and a lower stop (31 and 32). The stops are adjustable in their distance apart by a screw (34) and the rod has a plate such that the rod travel is controlled by the plate coming into contact with the stops. ADVANTAGE - The arrangement ensures constancy of delivery and allows the pump to operate under Clean in Place (CIP) and Sterile in Place (SIP) conditions.
