Each tappet (24), coupling the plate (3) and an intermediate lever (15) has a socket (29) at the end. This engages with a ball on the end of a transverse portion of the intermediate lever. The lever can be double-armed and mounted on a ball-joint and the tappets can be coupled to the plate by further ball joints (31, 35), or alternatively by spring ribs. They can be integral with their ball sockets at their lever ends. ADVANTAGE - Provides for low cost and is simple in manufacture and assembly.
