摘要 The compression cylinder (7) compresses a gas against the pressure of a previously compressed gas, to which heat has already been added. In a time average, and relative to a comparative pressure, a larger gas volume is expanded than compressed, ie. the same mass of gas at a higher temp. The engine consists of a compression cylinder (7), coupled to an expansion cylinder (8). The required heat is supplied from outside (Q), e.g. the gas is not combusted with an added fuel. Alternately, the heat may be produced by internal combustion of the gas with a fuel. Pistons (1,2) in the cylinders drive cranks in the usual way. The expansion cylinder is larger than the compression cylinder. USE/ADVANTAGE - Engine combines advantages of conventional engines with cyclical combustion with those of continuous combustion. Complete and clean combustion is obtained.
