Each of the rails (1) has a clamp securing a bicycle and they form a spider pattern (2) on a horizontal shaft (3). There can be several spiders on the shaft which are rotated with it by a motor (5) with belt (4) so as to bring them in turn into the loading or unloading position. The clamps can be arranged to open automatically on reaching the loading or unloading position. They can have easily distorted profiled components moveable so as to accommodate both the narrow wheels of racing bicycles and the wide ones of mountain bicycles.
