The method allows to the user and other users of the private switched telephone network to communicate each other, and enables a user to use the public switched telephone network(PSTN) when the other is using the PSTN via a key phone system . The method comprises the steps of: (a) determining the state of the 1st customer's telephone line (e.g. on-hook or off-hook) and connecting the line to the PSTN when the state is off-hook; (b) pressing the transfer key to transfer the line from 1'st customer's line to the 2nd customer's line;(c) checking the 2nd customer's line status and connecting automatically the 2nd line when the line is hook-off; (d) searching the new line when the 2nd line is busy and on-hook after off-hook.
