<p>In a liquid crystal device formed so that an electric field (113) substantially parallel to a board surface can be applied, the electric potential of a conductive film formed on a color filter-forming board (104) opposed to an electric field control means-carrying board (109) is one of earth potential, common electrode potential, central potential of an image signal, non-selective potential of a scanning signal, logic potential of an external driving means and floating condition. This enables a liquid crystal device capable of displaying a high-quality image into which static electricity is difficult to enter to be provided.</p> |
