PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect data from a broad area by utilizing a function of a PHS so as to have only to install a comparatively simple equipment at a low communication cost. SOLUTION: When a data request is given from a highest host station 2 by using a transceiver function of a PHS, a host station 3 sends data collected by its own station to the highest host station 2 and sends sequentially the data request to a peripheral station arranged within a communication range sequentially. The peripheral station uses the transceiver function of the PHS to send data collected by its own station to the host station 3 in response to the data request. The host station 3 receives sequentially the data sent from the peripheral station and transfers the data to the highest host station 2. When the reception of the data from the host station 3 is finished, the highest host station 2 receives the data from other host stations as above and when all the data are collected, the station 2 sends the collected data at a high speed to the center station 1 by using the PHS communication function. |
