PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate the lit state and the unlit state of a battery type light source from outside appearance at a glance by turning on/off a lamp being the battery type light source by changing the relative positions of an endoscope and the battery type light source in their connection state. SOLUTION: When the armor member of the battery type light source 4 is turned so that the axis of the battery housing part 40a of a light source main body part 40 may be arranged in positional relation to be parallel with the optical axis of the ocular part 25 of an operation part 27, the positive pole of a dry cell contacts with an insulating ring, and the lamp and the dry cell are in an off-state where they are not conducted, so that the lamp is in the unlit state. Meanwhile, when the armor member 46 is turned so that the axis of the housing part 40a of the main body part 40 may be arranged in the positional relation to be perpendicular to the optical axis of the ocular part 25 of the operation part 27, a protrusive type electric contact part and the positive pole of the dry cell are connected and the negative pole of the dry cell and the rear end electrode of the lamp are connected. Then, the lamp and the dry cell are in an on-state where they are conducted, so that the lamp is in the unlit state. |
