PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a configuration of an image forming device useful for security management and effective resource utilization, and capable of easily performing batch management of resources for the image forming device, as well as to provide a management method therefor and a medium for storing control procedures thereof. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a network communication means 501 for communicating with a management terminal connected to a network and a work memory 504 composed of an area 504 for network processing, a function constitution information area 506, an equipment management information area 507 and a function management information area 508. Management information for permitting or inhibiting the utilization of the entire image forming device or prescribed constitutive functions consisting of the image forming device is stored corresponding to condition setting such as a time zone for performance from the management terminal through the network or the number of times of use, and corresponding to these stored contents, control is performed for permitting or inhibiting the utilization of the entire image forming device or prescribed constitutive functions consisting of the image forming device. |
