Elastic tab comprises a coextruded two-layer elastic film material (11) attached to a partially extensible non woven layer (15) which has portions (7) which have limited extensibility in one direction separated by inextensible portions (18). The extensible portions, when stretched to their extension limit, will recover at least 1.0 cm. to provide a tab having a useful stretch ratio of at least 30%, wherein the useful stretch includes the portion of elastic recovery length having a recovery force of greater than 20 gms/cm and the inelastic portion has an incremental extension of less than 300 to 350 gms/cm. |
