PURPOSE: A loss checking system of a cordless telephone is provided to preventing a loss of the cordless telephone by sensing a distance with the cordless telephone. CONSTITUTION: When a cordless telephone(10) is within a distance A, an inherent signal electric wave of the cordless telephone(10) is the same as an inherent signal generated by an inherent signal comparing part of a wireless paging receiver(20). When the cordless telephone(10) is not within the distance A, because the inherent signal electric wave of the cordless telephone(10) is not the same as the inherent signal generated by the inherent signal comparing part, the wireless paging receiver(20) performs an alert operation. At this time, if an amplification rate of a variable amplifying part is changed, the wireless paging receiver(20) decides that a present state is a normal state, though the cordless telephone(10) is not within the distance A.
