PURPOSE: An apparatus for preventing the plating of a conductive roll is provided, especially which is used for a horizontal plating apparatus. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for preventing the plating of a conductive roll is constructed such that the conductive roll acts as an anode, it comprises a nozzle (100) which is positioned between the conductive roll and a cathode for isolating the surface directing the cathode among the surface of the conductive roll, and the nozzle (100) is charged with the same negative potential to that of the conductive roll. The nozzle (100) comprises many holes which a plating solution can freely pass through, and a spray hole where a plating-preventing solution is sprayed onto the surface of the conductive roll. The composition of the plating-preventing solution is similar to that of a plating solution except its lower pH.
