PURPOSE:To provide an ink drop jet recording method and a record head, in which bubbles are formed in a stable manner and burst in the outside air to produce ink drops so as to form images having high image quality. CONSTITUTION:A heat energy supply means and a discharge outlet arranged at a position opposite thereto for discharging a part of liquid are provided. When a reduced diameter of an orifice is phi2 and a width of a nozzle at a part where a heat energy generating means is arranged is Wn, the relation phi2/Wn <=1.0 is satisfied. When ink drops are to be discharged, uniform bubbles are formed without using complicated structure, so that the burst of bubbles in the outside air is stabilized. Accordingly, images having stabilized image quality can be obtained. |
