PURPOSE:To facilitate and quicken the opening movement of a cover by forming at the opposite portion of a covering portion to the end face portion of a cover a recessed portion into which the corner portion between the front face portion and the end face portion of the cover is fitted when an air bag is inflated. CONSTITUTION:A recessed portion 48 is provided at the front end portion 33a of a covering portion 33 and so a rear end portion 32c located beneath the corner portion 51 of a rear cover piece 55 is also deformed and the corner portion 51 is rotated rearward while being fitted into the recessed portion 48. Thereby the opening movement of the rear cover piece 55 is facilitated and quickened so that adjustment of the inflating performance of an air bag 37 is facilitated. Also, the end portion 52 of an upper plate portion 52 located above the front end portion 33a of the covering portion 33 either makes contact with or faces the corner portion 51 with a small interval, so that the sense of integrity of the cover 32 and the covering portion 33 covering a spoke portion 17 can be readily obtained for better appearance. |
