PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that can display detailed and easily understandable operation guidance information acquired form the Internet for a user interface as up-to-date information at all times without imposing a load of an increased memory capacity onto the device. SOLUTION: The image forming device 1 is connected to the Internet 6 via a server unit 5, generates display data corresponding to an event caused in the device 1 in a description form in matching with the Internet environment and stores the data to a storage means in the image forming device 1 or a storage means of a server computer 7 of a manufacturer on the Internet 6. Then a storage location of corresponding display data is discriminated and the data are read depending on a kind and/or a degree of the caused event and the data are displayed on the user interface. Thus, the detailed and easily understandable operation guidance information can be provided as up-to-date information at all times without imposing a load of an increased memory capacity onto the device 1. |
